Our exclusive Aged Paving range is an alternative to reclaimed York Stone Paving but with a lower price tag. All quarried and cut in Yorkshire, our Aged York Stone is much more versatile than reclaimed stone, so is suitable for pretty much any project. We make our Aged stone from new quarry stone by fettling and distressing the edges. We then artificially weather the stone, creating a great antique looking final product. Once fitted, this stone will look like it has been in situ for hundreds of years.
We can also produce steps and coping stones cut to your required sizes so all areas can be finished using the same stone. We are always testing new ways to make our ageing process more Eco-friendly too.
Chosen for their durability and superb slip resistance even in the wettest weather, York Stone steps have long been used to create stunning entrances to all kinds of buildings around the UK. Ours offer that same famous blend of beauty and practicality, and you can always take the impression up a notch by running it into our York Stone Paving.
The Aged Yorkstone range is exclusive to Yorkstone Supplies, and offers you a highly versatile way to achieve that reclaimed look on a lower budget. Quarried and cut in Yorkshire, each new coping stone is artificially weathered to fettle and distress the outer edges so it looks like it’s seen already a hundred British winters. Because they can be cut to your specification, it’s easy to add paving or copings to your project, whatever the scope.
We’re always searching for new ways to make our ageing process more eco-friendly too.

View ProductWe quarry our Greetland Riven Paving in Bradford and each slab of premium quality rock is sawn on four sides before being given its hand-riven finish by our stone masons. The result is a superb, natural, hard-wearing paving that will last forever, in a buff grey that suits properties of all ages.
This particular New Riven Paving has a tolerance of between 35-65mm, so it can’t be butt jointed. We recommend a pointing gap of around 10-15mm to be safe. If you’re laying it in a high traffic area or somewhere with lots of trees or foliage, we also recommend using a natural stone sealant to protect against staining and give it a bit more grip in wet weather.
A small amount of veining is common in Greetland stone so if you would like a free sample then simply add to your basket below, but please do remember this will just be a small representation. To get a feel for the character of Riven Paving, you can always arrange a viewing at our yard in Surrey. We can also send you a full-sized slab for a small additional cost.
